Why choose us?

Ioannis Raptis is an obstetrician–gynecologist specialized in endoscopic surgery, having completed his entire subspecialty training in Germany.

He served as Head of the Endometriosis and Endoscopy Center at the academic hospital Agaplesion AKH Hagen of Ruhr University Bochum, where he was awarded the title of Senior Consultant (Oberarzt).

In this capacity, he performed more than 500 highly complex laparoscopic procedures and was awarded the MIC II certification by the German Society for Gynecological Endoscopy (AGE).

He was among the first laparoscopic surgeons worldwide to perform laparoscopic treatment of cystocele without the use of mesh, as well as laparoscopic treatment of uterine prolapse using the Cooper ligaments (Laparoscopic Pectopexy – Laparoskopische Pektopexie), achieving excellent results. He introduced this procedure in Greece for the first time in November 2017, establishing the Greek medical term “Ktenopexy.”

As part of his urogynecological subspecialization, he was awarded the AGUB I certification by the German Society for Urogynecology and Pelvic Floor Reconstruction (AGUB).

After returning to Greece and in pursuit of surgical innovation, he secured a scholarship at the “mecca” of endoscopic surgery in New Delhi, at the world-renowned World Laparoscopy Hospital. There, he further expanded and certified his expertise in robotic gynecological surgery and in the use of the da Vinci Si and Xi robotic systems.
